I’m one of those who spent Valentine’s Day with comfort chocolate and Valium all her life, until last year when me and one of my best friends decided to do something different on Valentine’s Day; we wanted to help others.
Our story of spending the day feeding the homeless all around Cardiff town got quite a lot of shares which made me really happy as it would hopefully mean it inspired others.
I was a bit worried I wouldn’t be able to give you a story this year, being in sickbed and all, but the last couple days I’ve been strong enough to meet two girls with stories that makes your heart ache. One of them just recently had her hair cut and sold to help out the family economy. Her cousins story is no brighter, but it’s not my story to tell. What these girls wished for though was a bike and on this Valentine’s Day they become owners of one too!
Please share the love for a #differentvalentinesday ! It might be a commercial day, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make someone – anyone – happy!
Today’s joyful note: Happy Valentine’s Day to friends and family far away, remember I love you loads and miss you everyday; can’t wait to see you all again! 💘💌💗
